Come to Tri State Museum Sat Feb 1st at 10 am for a presentation on researching an Historical Novel... Excerpts from the Novel - OF MEN AND HORSES -The life and times of Lucy Tressler - Thornhill and the men who loved and hated her!

John here, “Let me tell you about Lucy. Just when you think ya got her figured, she’ll sure enough surprise you! I asked her to role me a smoke. She fumbled and grinned bashful like, then rolled one like ole Jimmer himself! Without a pause, she promptly jutted that insolent little chin, took a drag, pursed her pouty lips and floated the air full of smoke rings! Her meadow lark laugh hung like the smoke on the morning air. Christ, but she is a rebel!”
